Breast cancer awareness meet held in Arunachal

ITANAGAR: United Charity (UC) an Non Governmental Organization working on ground on various social issues, charity and imparting knowledge on health celebrated its 4th Foundation Day cum Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign with the theme ‘Don't be shy, Don't be afraid, Let’s be aware of Breast Cancer’ in collaboration with State Cancer Society at Government Secondary School, P-sector, Itanagar on Tuesday.
The motive of initiating breast cancer awareness campaign was to especially aware girl child of Breast Cancer with its causes to the children. Member of UC on the day highlighted students on breast cancer and its impact. It informed that Breast Cancer has no age limitations thus there should be regular medical health check up. Many such cases has been reported where a patient with cancer being shy and hesitate to report to the doctor. The NGO also informed that due to the initiative of Chief Minister Pema Khandu every cancer patient with proper documents and its guidelines will be provided an incentive of Rs 10 lakhs for the treatment from the State government.
