NIRJULI: In an move to encourage the recently prelims-qualified aspirants of Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Exam (APPSCCE) from 16th Yachuli Assembly Constituency a career counseling-cum-guidance programme was organized by the local representatives, Likha Saaya at his Nirjuli residential hall on Saturday.
While giving away cash prize of Rs 50, 000 each to 42 candidates of his constituency those cleared APPSCCE -2018, Saaya said promised that those aspirants who clears the Mains examination will be rewarded double of what they have been given today.
“This is indeed a moment of great pride for our constituency and the programme was with a motive encourage those aspirants for setting an example for the youth of the area, particularly our young girls,” Saaya said while conveying his appreciations to the parents.
“These students have shown how one can achieve milestones on the sheer dint of determination and hard work amidst all hardships and deterrents, he said adding he also announced to support further aspirants endeavor to clear the mains examination.
The Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP), Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi, Robin Hibu, Dr. Joram Beda, IAS, Yupia Deputy Commissioner, Likha Tejji, Under Secretary, APCS (GoAP) and Dr Mukesh Jaitley (Dentist), New Delhi attended as the resource persons on the day.
During the technical session in their keynote addresses to aspirants, Robin Hibu, Dr. Joram Beda and Likha Tejji spoke on the importance of proper choice of career and to be specific in choosing the subject in regard of own potential and interest, instead of listening to others opinion.
They also exhorted the students to follow the three mantras of Wisdom, Patience, and Faith to be which would shape up the career of the students in the future.
Referring to the incidents of many students going astray after their first attempts, Robin Hibu said that, those youths need career counseling for intellectual growth and to choose the right career.
Adding that self-motivation is also the prime objectives when preparing for such competitive examinations. However, he also aspired that the youths could take up self-employment and encouraged young entrepreneurship in the state besides solely depending on the government jobs.
They urged the aspirants to be more focus on their studies or career whatever they want to choose and be a responsible citizen and said that people need to change the mindset which should come from within.
