ITANAGAR: To increase the outreach of police within the community, East Kameng Police had started UNNATI, a program in August this year with the objective to guide students of Class IX and onwards in the right direction.

Led by the district Superintendent of Police (SP) in partnership with Aboobacker from NGO Ayang Trust NGO and Meemansa Singh, MGN fellow in the district, the program helped the students by motivating them to succeed in life and specific paths they can follow for a particular career option. They are guided on the subject of UPSC/APCS exams, SSB/SSC exams, IIT-JEE, NEET, NDA, CA and career choices as performer and sports players and so on, an official communiqué informed here.

In the first phase, the programme covered around 1200 students of IX and X from different schools of the district was covered. The initiative has been received with enthusiasm by the educators and students alike. JNV School Principal Santosh Singh said, "The session was organized to motivate and make the students aware about their career. In the session, all the staff members gave their full cooperation and were beneficial for all the members of the school. The SP took keen interest in the programme."
