Centre for separate cost norms for Northeast :Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Radha Mohan Singh

Itanagar: Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Radha Mohan Singh while appreciating the Arunachal Pradesh Government for its pro-farmer initiative informed that the Ministry is working on separate cost norm for the North-east on scheme specific to the region. The Union Minister informed this to Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture Minister Mohesh Chai who called on the former at his office chamber at New Delhi Wednesday evening, an official communiqué informed here on Thursday.
Stating that the ministry is all geared up for support to the state of Arunachal Pradesh and other NE states, Singh urged Arunachal to complete the task in hand and submit utilization certificates for early disbursal of the pending instalments.
Further stating that ministry is well aware of various state specific problems and issues with regard to programme implementation in Arunachal Pradesh, Singh assured that his ministry shall reciprocate the pro-activeness of “Team Arunachal” in developmental front for the sector. During the two-hour-long deliberation, Chai briefed Singh on various initiatives by the state government for development of agri sector in the state.
