ITANAGAR: The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has authorized a budget of Rs. 398 crore for the construction of 19 State District Road projects in Arunachal Pradesh.
For the fiscal year 2024–2025, the funds were awarded under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) with the goal of enhancing road connectivity, especially in the state's border and isolated areas.
The funds that were allotted will be utilised to improve the state's major road infrastructure, increasing mobility and promoting socioeconomic growth. It is anticipated that the project will increase trade, open up new economic opportunities for local residents in the area, and improve access to essential services.
The government's dedication to improve North-East infrastructure, tackling the region's particular issues, and promoting sustainable development in one of India's most geographically difficult regions is reaffirmed by this allocation.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, 14 agri-startups in Arunachal Pradesh received a total of Rs 48.80 lakh at an Agri Startup Grant Disbursement Ceremony held at the College of Horticulture and Forestry, Pasighat.
