Centre urged for postage stamp on Talom Rukbo

PASIGHAT: In a letter to the Union Minister for communication, Manoj Sinha, Pasighat MLA, Kaling Moyong on Monday apprised him in respect of taking up appropriate steps for issuance of postage stamp in the name of "Lambona Golgi Bote Talom Rukbo.” He said this will set as a mark of homage for Lambona Golgi Bote untiring dedication and contribution for the upliftment and preservation of indigenous faith and culture of Arunachal Pradesh.

He wrote that Lambona Golgi Bote was man of dedicated nature, worked for the welfare of society and true lover of Indigenous faith and culture. “His contribution towards the development of traditional faith and culture did not just confine to Adi community but rooted to all the community of state,” he said.

Lambona Golgi Bote vision was to find a socio cultural religious identity of the entire Tani people and other indigenous people of the state by following their ancestral and indigenous faith and culture.“An organization in the name and style of Donyi Polo spiritual society was formed under his guidance in 1987,” he added.
