Changlang district gets Common Facility and Business Information Centre (CFBIC) under OIL Jeevika project

ITANAGAR: Common Facility and Business Information Centre (CFBIC), an initiative of Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) in collaboration with Oil India Limited was inaugurated at Innao in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday.

The CFBIC has been established under Project OIL Jeevika, a flagship livelihood initiative of Oil India Limited, IIE is the implementing agency of the project. The centre was ceremoniously inaugurated by Resident Chief Executive-OIL Prasanta Borkakoty and IIE Director Dr Lalit Sharma, in the presence of many dignitaries.

Dr Sharma, while addressing the occasion said, "The CFBIC is one of its kind which will be self sustainable for the residents of the area." He also congratulated the beneficiaries from Arunachal Pradesh for the results of their hard work and motivated them to continue their dedication. Borkakoty said, "OIL Jeevika, the flagship CSR project aimed at enhancing the livelihood of 400 villagers across five villages of Diyun circle under Changlang and Namsai districts of the state."

He said the primary objective is to impart skill development and up-gradation training to the targeted households on beekeeping, honey processing along with mustard, buck wheat and local pulse processing. The CFBIC will also create avenues for various other livelihood activities, thus creating a source of income for the whole of Diyun, Borkakoty said and congratulated the beneficiaries for the cooperation and dedications in making this project a grand success. Started in 2016-17 and implemented by Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, OIL Jeevika is a flagship award winning livelihood initiative of Oil India Limited (Duliajan). It is a community cluster based sustainable rural livelihood promotion project, aimed at enhancing the livelihood of 400 villagers across five villages of Diyun circle.
