CRO-AP Organized Consumer Rights Programme In Itanagar

ITANAGAR: Consumer Rights Organization- Arunachal Pradesh (CRO-AP) organized a consumer MITRA training programme to impart knowledge on consumer rights and responsibilities, Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and consumer grievances to district level CRO workers at Sidhartha Hall here on Thursday.

Addressing the people, national working president of CRO, Naveen Sharma informed that the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has recognized the CRO and also has included the organization as permanent member in the committee of FSSAI. He said that such training on consumer related issues for the consumer and the workers should be organized by the concerned department on a regular basis. “Until and unless people and the workers of CRO are not aware of their responsibility and on CPA, work on ground is impossible,” he added.

Sharma said that the organization is working in 25 States of the country for consumer welfare. He urged the CRO workers in the district level to attain detail information from the department concerned.

He also spoke on various aims and objectives of the training programme.

Capital complex ADC Talom Dupok said that capital being a vast area, all the consumer related issues can’t be dealt in one time. Therefore, such awareness and training programme will help the consumer to provide more knowledge about their rights.
