Arunachal Pradesh Chief Secretary (CS) for scheme coverage under financial inclusion

Itanagar, July 6: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Secretary Satya Gopal has asked the labour and employment department to actively participate in the process of achieving cent per cent coverage of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) in the state.

The Chief Secretary during a meeting convened here yesterday, directed the labour and employment commissioner to direct all the district officers to get involved in implementation of all the schemes, an official release informed. Gopal during the meeting informed that the union Finance Ministry has been directly monitoring the status of the schemes especially on financial inclusion.

The chief secretary also directed the concerned department for proper utilization of the state government resources in the district for cent per cent success of the three noble financial schemes for the benefit of the villagers.

“More could be done if the government machineries are properly utilized. It is also the responsibility of labour and employment officers posted in the districts to ensure that the laborers registered under the labour welfare board opens their bank accounts and get their Aadhar enrolled,” Gopal pointed out.

He also asked the Labour Commissioner to present monthly report to him on the progress of the implementation of the schemes in the districts and directed the bank representatives to facilitate the villagers and illiterate public while opening bank accounts.
