CS Satya Gopal Launches Special Enrolment Camp of Transporters in Itanagar

ITANAGAR: Chief Secretary Satya Gopal launched the special enrolment camp for transport federation members for enrolling them in three schemes of Central and state government viz Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Yojana (PMSY) and Chief Ministers Aarogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY) on Thursday.

The camp was organized by District Administration of Capital Complex in association with All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation and State Bank of India. Chief Secretary while exhorting all the members to enroll themselves and further encourage others to enroll in pro people schemes of the Central and State Government. PMSBY is available to people between 18 and 70 years of age with bank accounts. It has an annual premium of Rs 12 exclusive of taxes.

“In case of accidental death or full disability, the payment to the nominee will be Rs 2 lakh and in case of partial Permanent disability Rs 1 lakh,” he informed. He also said that PMJJBY is available to people between 18 and 50 years of age with bank accounts. It has an annual premium of Rs 330. In case of death due to any cause, the payment to the nominee will be Rs 2 lakh. At the same time CMAAY is a state health insurance scheme with coverage up to Rs. 5 lakhs for secondary and tertiary care.

Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex Prince Dhawan requested the members present and transport federation to disseminate the schemes to farthest and remotest areas. With meager premiums these insurance schemes can be of extreme help in cases of untoward incidents and hospitalization.
