Dau steel bridge inaugurated in Anjaw: Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar: The strategic road joining interior border of Anjaw district is being connected with superstructure steel bridges over the Dau river located 1.44 Km from Hayuliang.
The Bridge has been dedicated to the nation by UC Mehta Additional Director General BRO (ADGBR) (East) at Hayuliang on Saturday in a glittering ceremony in the presence of Brigadier Rakshvir Chief Engineer Project Udayak, Colonel Rajeev Dhingra Commandant 48 BRTF, PR Bandhu OC 1444, GREF Officials, Labourer and local people.The newly constructed Steel Bridge replacing 140 feet Bailey bridge at Hayuliang – Changwanti road is all weather roads facilitating uninterrupted movement of Defence personnel and civilian.
Talking to the media, Mehta lauded the BRO officials and labourer for the timely completion of superstructure despite several unforeseen hurdles.
"We have 4 (four) steel bridges which are completed and one is under construction and planned 16 more Bridges from Tidding to Kibithu to ensure smooth connectivity in the interior border pockets of this border district", he infroms. He also praised the 48 BRTF under the leadership of Colonel Rajeev Dhingra and OC 1444 BCC for completing works in time.
