ITANAGAR: The Debeyar Circle Development Committee (DCDC) has sought the intervention of the State Government to complete the 19km-long Seppa-Sagalee BRTF Road to Seba village road, which has been pending for more than 11 years.

Speaking to the reporters at the press club here on Saturday, DCDC chairman Shankar Kino stated that stage-II of the said road project was sanctioned in the year 2010-11. Accordingly, the tender process was also done in the month of November, 2011. However, the road has neither been completed nor any maintenance done for the last 11 years.

He also alleged that some portions of roads constructed earlier by the executing agency are below standard. He informed that a representation has been already submitted to the Chief Secretary for his intervention on the said road project.

DCDC also appealed authority to give direction to the construction agency to reconstruct the road with proper black topping as well as to constitute an inquiry committee within a week over the undue delay in completion of the project.
