Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) BD Mishra on Saturday exhorted the students to develop scientific temper, humanism and spirit for inquiry and reform with a view to taking the state and nation forward.

Inaugurating the ‘Cultural cum Food Fest 2018’, organised by Don Bosco College here, the Governor complimented the students and teachers for organising the festival, which showcases the rich traditions, particularly the culture, fine art and cuisines of the state.

He said that promotion of such events can promote and attract tourists to the state which would benefit the people.

Impressed by the enthusiastic participation of the students, Mishra called upon the students to prepare themselves for future challenges. He advised them to inculcate the social responsibility to ensure that every child in the age group of 6 to 14 years goes to school, which would be in a true spirit of promoting humanism. Mishra appealed the students and teachers to take part in cleanliness drives and keep the surrounding, starting from the college campus, the roads, colony and town clean.
