ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Govenor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra on Monday exhorted the unemployed engineers of the State to form self-help groups and take up start-ups for their own sustenance, besides going for entrepreneurship, cooperative farming and plantation, which have great scope for livelihood in the State.

During a meeting with a few unemployed engineers at Raj Bhawan here during the day, the Governor suggested that even in least populated Scandinavian countries, their Governments have not been able to provide jobs for each and every person and therefore, in their own practical interest, the unemployed engineers should form self-help groups and take up start-ups for their own sustenance.

The engineers shared their aspirations and challenges with the Governor.

Mishra, who has been pushing hard for expediting the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) for the filling up of vacancies in various departments, advised the engineers to prepare themselves for the ensuing examinations against the vacancies of Assistant and Junior Engineer posts to be advertised by the APPSC shortly.
