East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu inspects ongoing projects

PASIGHAT: The East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu accompanied by the Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) EE Kipa Gagung, and AE Nagram Mire inspected three major ongoing constructions/projects at Pasighat on Saturday.

The engineers informed the DC that the proposed PMC office building, funded under the 14th finance commission, would be completed within one year. Under Smart City Mission, construction of Solid Waste Management Plant (SWMP) at 2-mile under PMC and PSCDCL would be completed in the next 10 months while construction of Sewage Treatment Plant (STP taken up under PSCDCL, amounting to Rs 48 crore, would be completed by 2023.

The DC expressed his happiness over the development and instructed the contractors to ensure quality work and durability and to complete within the timeframe. Taggu stressed physical presence and constant monitoring of the concerned engineers to guide the contractors in implementing the projects.
