Film on Abo Karo released at Army cinema theatre

ITANAGAR: The AS Production unit at Aalo in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh has released a film on ‘Abo Karo’ at Army cinema theatre with a small function on Saturday.

The film which is produced by Lee Sora and directed by Adham Munglang, is based on the myths of Abo Karo, an official release informed here on Sunday.

Attending the film release ceremony, former Minister Kento Ete said that such films based on tribal folklores and mythology should be produced to infuse a sense of inqusitiveness among our young generation to delve into their history and literature through cinema.

“A film on the prevailing social taboos in our society can also do a world of wonders to dispel darkness detrimental for growth of a progressive society,” Ete added.

The chairman of the ‘Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh’ (IFCSAP), Mogi Ori and Mother’s Vision chairman Jumde Yomgam also attended the function to give useful tips on the role of cinema.

The production unit lauded Galo Welfare Society (GWS) president Kirba Sora, advocate Kenbom Bagra, NEFTU, SFS College and others for their cooperation in preparing the film, the release added.
