Final round of Tadar Tang Football Begins in Arunachal

NAMSAI: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein inaugurated the final round of XVII Tadar Tang State Football, 2018 here at Apil field amidst mammoth gathering of football lover, local public leaders and Government officials on Wednesday.

In his address Mein applauded the department of sports for organizing such big event which will motivate the youth of the Eastern Zone to participate in games & sports. DCM said a considerable area of the eastern Arunachal Pradesh is affected with addiction of drug and opium and it is a matter of great concern.

He advised the youth to refrain from dreaded drug menace which may spoil the future of new generation. He also said former MLA Tadar Tang and his family have made enormous contribution towards the state and especially in the field of Games & Sports.

Adding to his speech DCM said the present Govt. has is taking interest in Games & Sports and is also providing fund for construction of stadium ground and other promotional activities.

MLA Namchoom in his speech said Namsai being the new District is want of proper infrastructure to organize any big event, but generous support of the local people will make the event a grand success.

He further said in future to the people of Namsai will leave no stone unturned to promote Games & Sports in the district to encourage the youths.

Football team from Namsai, East Kameng, Dibang Valley, Kurung Kumey, Changlang, Lower Subansiri, West Siang, Lower Siang, Capital Complex and Arunachal Pradesh police are taking part in the tournament.

The event is organized by the District Football Association, Namsai under the aegis of Arunachal Pradesh Football Association. Director Sports Tadar Appa, competition Director John Neelam and Match Commissioner Koj Tatung were also present in the programme.
