ITANAGAR: The Chairman of the Film and Television Guild of Arunachal (FTGA), Mingkeng Osik, said that the guild will conduct the first-ever education fair, the North East Career Fair 2023, at Pasighat. Addressing the media at the press club on Monday, Mingkeng Osik said that the education fair will commence on May 14. The fair will provide a platform for the student community to receive their required education. Be it counselling services, career guidance, skill evaluation, aptitude testing, personality evaluation, admission information services for all UG and PG courses like MBBS and ENGG and other 700+ courses to choose from and country choices, coaching for JEE, NEET, CDS, NDA, TET, SSC, etc., life skills coaching, filmmaking-related courses, motivational talks from people who matter, etc. He said the education fair, being a live demonstration under less than one roof, is the most cost-effective and a good opportunity to meet thousands of students and the much-concerned parents searching for a good school and college for their child.

“The student community can take advantage of the strategic timing and venues that have been carefully selected keeping in mind the academic schedule, result and admission timing, and the magnitude of the exhibition in terms of location, accessibility, and brand image of the exhibitors,” he said. He said seeking higher education remains a popular trend for students in the state. Surprisingly, there are a countable number of profound and highly functional educational institutions in the entire Northeast. Moreover, students from the Northeast, especially from Arunachal Pradesh, want better education in colleges and universities in other states of the country.

Therefore, to facilitate the requirements of higher education for the students of the state, the edu-fair is beneficial. Moreover, the parents of the students can directly interact with the management of the institutions during the programme, he added. “The FTGA is a non-profit organization created solely for the purpose of promoting and encouraging aspiring filmmakers, artists, and various other stakeholders in the field of cinema and television. Now, it also aims to contribute to the general uplift of society through the medium of film and television, as well as education,” he said.
