First Sainik School of Arunachal Pradesh inaugurated

MANGALDAI: Arunachal Pradesh has become the third North Eastern States after Assam and Manipur to find its place in the map of Sainik School with the inauguration of the first Sainik School in the eastern most State of the country on Tuesday.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated the Sainik School at Niglok in East Siang district. The Chief Minister made a commitment to transform the Sainik School, Arunachal Pradesh as one of the best and ideal Sainik School of the country and he expressed the gratitude of the people of Arunachal Pradesh to the Prime Minister and the Defence Minister for the setting up of the school in Arunachal Pradesh. General Officer Commanding of the Division at Likabali Major General Bhaskar Kalita who is also the chairman of the Local Board of Administration (LBA) of the school appreciated the initiative of the State government for providing requisite impetus in realizing to have a Sainik School which acts as a feeder to premier defence institutes like NDA and Naval Academy. It may be noted here that at the initiative of the State Chief Minister, Arunachal Pradesh is also going to have two more Sainik Schools in the State at Tawang and Tirap-Sanglang sector.
