Flybig Airlines To Launch Flight services between Guwahati-Tezu, Delhi-Shillong From August 16

The services would initiate under the Indian Government's UDANscheme which is an effort towards regional connectivity.

Flybig Chief Commercial Officer Gaurav Rathore while speaking to the media said, "It gives me immense pride to announce that we have successfully established air connectivity in Tezu providing people of this city the freedom to travel via air. This challenging phase of the pandemic has reiterated the importance of air connectivity and we are committed to bringing air connectivity to the underserved areas in the country. Tezu is a beautiful destination for travellers and pilgrims alike. A flight between Tezu and Guwahati is a remarkable landmark that will make travel convenient for passengers,"

It may be mentioned that, Flybig will start with a frequency of four flights per week and the launch fares have been kept astoundingly low at a starting price of Rs 1199.

Rathore further added, "Arunachal Pradesh now has a strong air network with earlier Pasighat and now Tezu activating air service. We are grateful to the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu for his support and guidance in carrying out the operation successfully."

It may further be noted that, the Flybig airlines as a tribute towards commemorating India's 75th Independence Day will be offering a special fare of Rs 75 to army officers along with their immediate family members and to all senior citizens.

This effort by the Flybig airlines is a bid to honour the exemplary service to the nation in terms of protecting the land and its borders.

The airlines further notified that the special offer will be valid on Tezu – Guwahati and Guwahati – Pasighat flights for all passengers who will be travelling during the month of August, 2021.

Notably, willing passengers can book their tickets either on Flybig's website or through online travel agencies and regional travel partners.

Meanwhile, Flybig Airlines is also planning to introduce flights between Delhi and Shillong to enhance the connectivity between the northeastern state with the nation capital.

The scheduling of the flights will be made as per the arrangements that the airlines company has managed to go ahead with the Meghalaya Transport Corporation commencing from August 16.
