Gauhati High Court Chief Justice calls on Arunachal Governor BD Mishra

ITANAGAR: Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court Justice RM Chhaya on Thursday called on Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra at Raj Bhawan here, and discussed about the way forward to address the pendency of cases in the courts.

The Governor expressed confidence that the High Court would continue to maintain the high standards of professional ethics and values in promoting social justice, safeguarding liberty and protecting human rights.

Mishra congratulated the Chief Justice for the newly inaugurated Gauhati High Court Museum.

He said that people would be benefited from the museum to know the historical developments of the High Court and the younger generation will learn about the legal history of the North-East.

Shitakshi R Chaya, wife of the Chief Justice, Registrar General Gautam Baruah, Registrar cum Principal Secretary to Chief Justice Kuntal Sharma Pathak, Secretary to Chief Justice Nirod Sarma and Registrar of Gauhati High Court Itanagar Bench, Budi Habung accompanied the Chief Justice.
