Itanagar: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has said that the government is committed to provide jobs to the youth of the country.
Taking part in a Rozgar Mela organized by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) at its North East Frontier Headquarter here, Rijiju, the Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs minister, highlighted the work of the government in the last 10 years.
Through the Rozgar Mela, the government aims to provide employment to youth in a transparent manner, he said.
Rijiju handed over 258 appointment letters to candidates selected for the central armed forces.
Congratulating the new recruits, Rijiju urged them to contribute in realizing the dream of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Appealing to the recruits to shoulder responsibility of the country as future leaders, Rijiju said it is the beginning of life to serve the nation.
On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed over 71,000 appointment letters to the successful candidates, who were selected for various jobs under different departments across the country via videoconferencing.
