Government delaying probe in ‘cash-for-job’ scam: APYC

Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) on Tuesday alleged that the State Government has been delaying the process of probe in the Land Management department and to arrest the officials involved in the “cash-for-job” scam.

The youth wing of the Congress in a statement here informed that the RTI cell of the APYC had earlier submitted all relevant documents relating to the scam to state chief secretary and SP of Special Investigation Cell (SIC) of the state police besides, filing a FIR at Itanagar police station relating to the scam.

It added that as per latest information it was learnt that the SIC has processed the file and it is on the table of the chief secretary for final approval so that the vigilance and SIC could carry probe into the case and arrest the officials involved.

“The government is delaying the process and ironically transferred Land Management Secretary S K Jain fearing his arrest and others involved,” the party alleged.

It demand a thorough probe into the case and further demanded immediate arrest of the officers involved in the scam saying that the APYC would not tolerate any government employee playing with the future of the youth of the state, the statement added.
