High Hepatitis figure detected by Biological Evans Ltd, at Itanagar

Itanagar, July 29: The Anjaw District Health Society observed World Hepatitis Day at the Government Higher Secondary School and the VKV in Amliang on Saturday. DMO Dr K Perme cautioned the students that the hepatitis screening carried out in the district recently by Hyderabad-based biopharmaceutical company, Biological Evans Ltd, showed 5.8 percent prevalence rate of hepatitis among the screened persons. He said a team from Dibrugarh ICMR is arriving in Anjaw in the first week of August to ascertain the figure.
