Huge cache of arms and ammunition recovered in Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh

JAGUN: A huge cache of arms, ammunition and explosives were recovered by security personnel at the Phinbiro Forest in Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh on 02 May. According to an official statement, the troops of the Lekhapani Battalion and Arunachal Pradesh Police jointly launched a two day operation based on a specific intelligence input by SS Lt Col Makam Hacheng NSCN (KYA) regarding the presence of armed cadres and extortion in the area. During the search operation the team successfully lead to recovery of AK 56 Rifle with 04 live rounds, 02 single shot rifle, one pistol with magazine and 03 live rounds, 450 grams of explosive like material and 40 grams of drug.
