PASIGHAT: The Indian Army from Sigar military station, in a humanitarian drive, in coordination with the Bakin Pertin General Hospital (BPGH) administration and medical fraternity, organized a voluntary blood donation near here on Tuesday. Reportedly, during the camp, Haemoglobin testing and medical screening of the blood donors were also thoroughly carried out, and more than 100 units of life-saving blood were collected during the day.
Army officers on the occasion informed that it was a part of the larger responsibilities towards nation-building and further assured that the Indian Army will remain committed to the wellbeing of its citizens and, being the protectors of the nation, will participate in such activities in the future too to save precious lives.
