ITANAGAR: The Papumpare district unit of All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) has demanded immediate intervention of Special Investigation Cell (SIC) for in-depth investigation in the alleged job scam in the recently concluded recruitment of nursing officers (Contractual) under the National Health Mission (NHM).

Addressing media persons at the Press Club here, the Papumpare district president of ANYA, Likha Robin also appealed to the State government to go for "reserved quota" for the candidates of Papumpare district in such exams held in the district.

"Other districts have reserved quotas for their candidates on some particular jobs. We want the same for the candidates of our district too," said Robin said adding that the government must issue a clarification on the no "reserved quota" for candidates during the recruitment process of nursing officers under NHM.

He further said that according to the statement given by NHM nodal officer, the post of nursing officer is a 'Group-B' post which is not included in the government notification".

The ANYA leader posed, Since all recruitment exams for the Group-A and Group-B posts are actually conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), why was the recruitment process of nursing officers not conducted by the APPSC), if it is a Group- B post?"

Welcoming the announcement of the State Chief Secretary that recruitment of nursing officers will be re-conducted, Robin appealed for proper implementation of the 'Recruitment Rules' guidelines in the upcoming re-examination. He added that the guidelines were not applied in the previous examinations, alleging that as a result malpractices took place during the various recruitment processes.
