Itanagar MLA files FIR against rumour-monger on IMC scam

GUWAHATI: Arunachal Pradesh’s Itanagar MLA, Techi Kaso lodged a complaint against one Tenzing Norbu for spreading false allegation on the social media that Kaso and Land Management Minister Nabam Rebia masterminded the cash-for-job scam in the Itanagar Municipal Council (IMC).

Notably, recruitment of about 170 various posts in the IMC was crippled with allegations of unfair means.

In the FIR, Kaso challenged the validity of Norbu’s allegation made against him and said, “Everyone is aware that the IMC jobs scam (involving 170 jobs) is under investigation by the SIT.” Kaso said the allegation, which has gone viral on social media has defamed him and his credibility.

Meanwhile, Kaso urged the investigation authorities to book Norbu under the Indian cybercrime laws and also unearth the truth behind the allegation.
