Jan Sunvai Sammelan programme held in East Kameng district

Seppa: The Sarkar Aapke Dwar (Jan Sunvai Sammelan) programme for East Kameng district were conducted successfully at Bameng and Khenewa respectively on Saturday and Monday last with thousand and above of people taking advantage of the facilities provided by the District Administration and various departments of the district.

The programme was inaugurated by Minister of Home, UD & Housing and Labour & Employment Kumar Waii in presence of Gaon Burahs and a huge gathering of the public. East Kameng Deputy Commissioner G S Rajawat, Bameng ADC Pama Bagang, CO Kipa Raja and all heads of departments participated in the programme to ensure smooth delivery of the services.

The minister along with DC inspected all the stalls and interacted with the officials and urged them to make sure that every single household is benefited from the programme.

Urging the people to take advantage of such programme at the fullest, the minister informed that the main motive behind conducting the programme is to provide services to the public at their doorsteps.

During the two-day programme, various services were provided, which included, among others, issuance of trading licenses, PRC, ST, birth, death, income, disability, old-age certificates, verification and enrolment of Job Cards, registration of farmers on Hortnet, distribution of seeds and farming chemicals, tools & equipments, opening of bank accounts, aadhaar enrolment, issuance of ration cards .

Under CM Indigenous Textile Promotion scheme, handloom census was carried out and free yarns were distributed. Subsidized bulbs and fans were distributed under PM UJALA scheme. Labour welfare board distributed raincoats and rain-boots and registered new laborers.

Forms were received and registration done under CMAAY.

Left-out households were connected with LPG connection under PM Ujjwala Yojana. To promote and sensitize people on electoral processes, demonstrations on functioning, operation and advantages of EVM/VVPAT were carried out. Mock Polls were also conducted during the events. The health checkup camps were also set up by the Health Department.
