Kiren Rijiju’s intervention sought: Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar: The Arunachal Youth Organization (AYO) has sought the intervention of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju for early construction of the proposed greenfield airport in the state capital.

In a memorandum to the minister, the AYO alleged that the airport project has been politicized by some people with vested interest for their personal benefits. The AYO demanded a CBI inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the assessment of land acquired for the Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) from Potin to Bopi and Joram to Koloriang. It alleged rampant corruption, false assessment and disparity in compensation against the land acquired for the TAH.
