Liiga Leyu Multipurpose Cooperative Society conducted AG meeting at Pyuli Pooping

Itanagar: The Liiga Leyu Multipurpose Cooperative Society (LLMCS) conducted its first annual general body meeting at Pyuli Pooping in Hari village of Lower Subansiri district. The cooperative society engages in integrated farming like piggery, fishery and vegetable garden. Attending the program District Veterinary Officer Dr. Hano Tama exhorted the youths to venture into Agri and allied activities saying that market for such products is locally available.

“There is saturation in the government job sector. It is, therefore, necessary for our youths to select other viable options like agriculture, fisheries, horticulture, and veterinary activities”, he added.

He further highlighted the flagship programs and other activities undertaken by the department.

Speaking on the occasion DRCS Gyati Kobing highlighted the guidelines for the formation and operationalization of cooperative society.

District Fishery Officer Laigi Lasha dwelt in length about the schemes and activities for unemployed youths in the department. He highlighted the programs under the Mukhya Mantri Neel Kranti Abhiyaan and exhorted the youths to avail of the benefits.

“The present government is providing all sorts of subsidies and support to enable our youths to initiate sustainable activities under various departments. What is required is focus and dedication,” he added while assuring guidance and assistance to the entrepreneurs.

Agriculture Deputy Director Bamin Takar and the Chief Promotor of the society Gyati Gambo also spoke on the occasion, an official communique informed here.
