Lok Sabha MP Tapir Gao calls for pursuit of excellence, self-belief

Itanagar: Lok Sabha MP from Arunachal Pradesh West Parliamentary seat Tapir Gao called upon the students for pursuing excellence with a futuristic mindset in one’s chosen fields to achieve success in life.

Addressing the third convocation of Apex Professional University (APU) at Pasighat in East Siang district on Tuesday, the BJP MP stressed on efforts of all stakeholders including private universities to make Pasighat in particular and Arunachal in general an educational hub for quality higher education.

He said that after getting equipped with the academic knowledge and skills imparted by the learned faculty, the real world awaits the students with its challenges, which they have to face with self-confidence.

Congratulating the students he said “Spread out your wings as the sky is the limit.”

Gao, who is also the state unit of BJP president, also exhorted them explore opportunities in various sectors, to be enterprising and create self-employment opportunities.

“We should not only seek government employment, as it almost saturated. Expand your horizon and be a job provider,” he said adding, self-belief and hard work are the mantra to be successful in life.

He added that the students being responsible members of the society, it is also their social responsibility that their works also benefits the poorest of the poor.

Earlier, State Health & Family Welfare minister Alo Libang in his deliberation stated that discipline and dedication will take the students ahead in life and further asked them to remember the contribution and sacrifice made by their teachers and parents.

The minister also urged them to make them proud through their achievement in their chosen field and as a responsible citizen through their conduct.

He asked the university to make all efforts to provide the best of quality education in the state, an official communique informed here.
