Lower Dibang District Electoral Officer holds meet

ROING: As per the ECI dierctive to hold a meeting within three days of the announcement of elections, the DEO of Lower Dibang Valley district held a consultative meeting with political parties on Wednesday at the DC’s conference hall.

DEO-cum-Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom briefed all those present in the meeting on the model code of conduct (MCC), election expenditure monitoring (EXM) and the nomination process. She advised all the parties to follow the rules and guidelines for a smooth conduct of elections in the district. The DEO also advised all political parties to have information of the processes, required paperwork to be filed, restrictions, etc., during the elections, so that they don’t face any hurdles.
