Massive security arrangements for APPSCCE (Prelims) today

ITANAGAR: In view of the scheduled Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE) (Prelims) on November 1, security has been tightened up in the 127 examination centers across the 15 districts of the State.

Briefing about the security arrangement, SP Crime, Hemant Tiwari informed that there is no security threat or related inputs. As the APPSCCE is one of the most prestigious competitive examinations of the State, so to make it successful in a peaceful and transparency manner as well as in view of the COVID-19 protocols the law-enforcing agency is giving its best.

He further informed that atleast 26,459 aspirants are supposed to attend the examination in 127 centers across 15 districts. For security arrangements, 16 companies of forces (1,000 personnel) will be deployed in the examination centers, in Strong Rooms, escort parties and flying squad teams.

Atleast 150 personnel will be deployed in the 17 Strong Rooms under the supervision of one Deputy SP in each room and 24 Flying Squads have been also constituted to provide security in case of any contingency during the exam, added Tiwari. Superintendent of Police, Itanagar Capital Region, JimmyChiram said that adequate security arrangements have been also arranged as per the requirement in all the 53 centers. Atleast 12,335 aspirants are going to appear in the examination in capital region, he informed.

While extending his best wishes to the aspirants, Chiram urged the candidates to follow all the Do's & Don'ts of the Commission to avoid any confusion. He also appealed to the aspirants to reach the centers an hour before the examination to avoid any rush. While speaking of traffic management on the day of examination, SP Capital region stated that additional force will be deployed in the day specially in the areas like Chandranagar Bridge to avoid traffic congestion.
