Medical Oxygen Supply System (MOSS) Will Supplement Healthcare Service: Dr Moji Jini

Itanagar: One of the 33 units of patented medical oxygen supply system (MOSS), manufactured in South Korea by NF Co Ltd, was installed in State’s first medical college – Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Science (TRIMHS) at Naharlagun, near here on Tuesday. TRIMHS director Dr Moji Jini informed that the trial of the multi-model equipment once successful will supplement healthcare service in this hilly State, which is totally dependent on oxygen cylinders to save life of patients in emergency.

NF Co. Ltd’s Gujarat partner, Calitech Biotechnologies CEO Premal Patel and finance director Anup Ganguly, who arrived with the equipment, said that service engineers left for Pasighat on Wednesday to install next instrument in general hospital there.

The MOSS was launched in India first by State’s Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein at Waii International Hotel, Itanagar on October 10, 2017 in the presence of many lawmakers, top management of Capital Complex hospitals and Health Department senior officials.

The State Government which is interested to give a new thrust to health service had allotted funds under the State Annual Development Agenda (SADA) for procurement while H&FW Minister Alo Libang took keen interest to set an example as State flagship programme for others to emulate.

The MOSS replaces time-consuming oxygen cylinder used in hospitals by supplying oxygen with the click of its switch to save life, experts had said while demonstrating the instrument.

It may be mentioned that Calitech Biotechnologies offers after sales services and has plan to set up manufacturing unit in any of the interested northeastern States.
