Itanagar, June 3: The Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) has reiterated its pending demands, when a delegation of central executive members of the State government employees' apex organization called on Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein in his official residence at Niti Vihar here on Saturday.

The CoSAAP's charter of demands included implementation of revised allowances such as non-practicing allowance (NPS) for doctors, house rent allowance (HRA), tough location allowance (TLA), TA/DA (new rules), children education allowance (CEA), transport allowance, restoration of medical reimbursement (MR), timely conduction of departmental promotion committee (DPC), etc.

During his interaction with the CoSAAP members, Mein assured of bringing their pending demands to the notice of the State Cabinet with due approval from the Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, the CoSAAP delegates, headed by president Pate Marik and general secretary Gonya Riba, thanked the government for the timely implementation of the 7th Central Pay Commission in the State and also for various welfare measures taken by the government for its employees from time to time.

While apprising the Deputy Chief Minister of the government order that has granted HRA, TA/DA rules to only All India Service Officers serving in the State but not to the State government employees, they requested for immediate implementation of all the revised allowances by the government for its employees too.

They also requested the government either to restore the old system of MR or implement the All India Medical Attendance Rules for the State government employees as per recommendations of the 7th CPC, citing that ever since the implementation of Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister's Universal Health Insurance Scheme (APCMUHIS) in 2014, MR for the government employees was discontinued.

They added, even after the discontinuation of APCMUHIS in 2016, the MR system has not been restored.
