Minister Bamang Felix inaugurates police station in remote Circle of Vijoynagar

CHANGLANG: Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Bamang Felix inaugurated the newly constructed police station at 'Vijoynagar' here on Thursday. It is one of the remotest Circles of the State.

While terming the police station as a 'Seva Kendra' to serve the masses, Felix said that the State government is focused toward the all-round development of the State, especially in education, health, communication and police modernization.

"We are making all efforts in achieving the developmental goals and the inauguration of Vijoynagar Police Station is one of them," Felix said, requesting all sections of society to maintain peace, communal harmony and brotherhood.

He said that the police are for the safety and security of the people and accordingly the public should also cooperate with the department by abiding by the law.

Concerned about the road connectivity of the region, Felix assured to discuss the matter with the road construction agency and direct to speed up with the road work connecting the Vijoynagar. "There is a fund of around Rs 50 crore in the Police department for the TCL region which will be transferred to the RWD Department. I hope all the works are completed with a quality and at the earliest for the people's welfare," he added.

On the occasion, Felix also announced to provide a sum of Rs 2 crore for the construction of a community hall and a playground at Vijoynagar and Gandhigram.

In response to the memorandum submitted by the public, Felix said that he will discuss the matter with officers of the department concerned. He also assured them that a positive reply will be sent to them as soon as possible. Food and Civil Supply Minister KamlungMossang said that due to the slow progress of the 'Miao-Vijoyanagar' Road, many aspects — especially transportation, communication and other aspects — have not developed in the region.
