Minister Bamang Felix Stresses on use of space technology

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh RWD, IPR and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Bamang Felix has exhorted the state government officers for the best use of the remote sensing and space technology for rapid development of the state.
He opined that no development can take place without the logistic support of space technology in this advanced scientific and technological age.
The minister was addressing the trainee officers of various departments at the valedictory function of the State Meet on 'promoting space technologies in governance and development of Arunachal Pradesh', at Dorjee Khandu State Convention Hall here on Friday night.
The meet was organized by the State Remote Sensing Application Centre in collaboration with National Remote Sensing Centre, Department of Space, government of India.
Chief Secretary Satya Gopal said that the State Meet will mark the beginning of a new era and a new space technology and aided development discourse for beautiful state of Arunachal Pradesh.
Earlier in the morning, the Chairman of Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science and Technology, Bamang Mangha graced the inaugural function along with the Director of NRSC, ISRO Hyderabad Santanu Chowdhury.
While welcoming the distinguished guests, invitees, the Science and Technology Secretary Er Gaken Ete said the main objective of the meet was to sensitize the stakeholders about the multipurpose uses of space technology. The trio - P N L Raju, Director NESAC Shillong, Santanu Chowdhury and Director SRSAC H Dutta dwelt at length about the use and role of space technology based on tools and applications in governance and development, an official release informed here today.
