Minor Girl’s Murder Condemned

Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR) has vehemently condemned the reported murder of a class V girl student at Sangram in Kurung Kumey district that had occurred on the night of October 7 last. Expressing its anguish over the ‘brutal’ incident, the Commission urged the law enforcing agency including Kurung Kumey SP and OC, Sangram police station to expedite the case at the earliest and award exemplary punishment to the accused so that justice is delivered to the aggrieved family.

It further requested the state government to provide compensation under the Arunachal Pradesh Victim Compensation Scheme, 2011.

Meanwhile, the Nyapin Nyobia Sangram Phassang Students’ Union (NNSPSU) demanded immediate arrest of the culprit involved in the minor girl’s murder at Sangram.

Demanding justice for the aggrieved family, the students’ union appealed to the SP and OC, Sangram police station for proper investigation and to punish the culprit under the relevant section of law.
