PASIGHAT: MLA Ninong Ering inaugurated smart classroom to boost the teaching and learning process of students of Government Upper Primary School, Mikong near here on Tuesday.

Appreciating the efforts of School Monitoring Committee (SMC), Ering said that the committee had well incorporated innovative changes in the existing teaching and learning techniques. He said the volunteer contribution of teachers, SMC members and school staff for the completion of the dream smart class was highly appreciated.

Also attending a developmental meeting, organized by the school authority, Ering stated that a smart classroom provides a complete digital learning environment and makes the job of teachers much easier while explaining complex issues to the students. Such initiative would provide the students much-needed exposure to digital learning in this digital era that would help to bring out the best of their potentials and admitted that modern basic services, including internet, multimedia were essential to make the classroom student-friendly.

He also asserted that such initiative would boost the morale of the students bringing studies back on track after lockdown and online classes. "Recorded videos on multiple scientific model should be exhibited beyond syllabus limitation time to time through the digital platform to gain extra knowledge and idea generation," he suggested.

Stating road connectivity, education and health services as his priorities, the MLA also highlighted achievements on various ongoing and upcoming development projects.

Earlier, to inculcate the habit of reading books among the students, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kinny Singh also inaugurated a library established by the SMC.
