MLA Tirong Aboh attends Indigenous Games & Sports Meet in Tirap

KHONSA: 56-Khonsa West MLA Tirong Aboh and SP Tirap J.K. Meena on Sunday graced the prizes distribution function of 2nd Indigenous Games & Sports Meet organized under the aegis of AVP (Arunachal Vikas Parshad) Sports & Culture Centre, Tirap Unit on at Nehru Stadium, Khonsa here.

Addressing the gathering Chief Guest Tirong Aboh urged the youths of Tirap to shun all intoxicating substances and instead adopt physical exercise on daily basis. He added that since last few years good news of achieving medals by Tirapian’s players have been witnessed in media which is indeed a proud moments for the people.

Aboh also asked the organizing committee to make proper publicity at least one week ahead to ensure mass participation in such important event and he assured to contribute from his side for next year sports meet.

In his speech Tirap SP Jitendra Kumar Meena, informed that at least 17 Police personnel including 2 Sub Inspectors was recruited from Tirap District under sports quota for which he appealed the youths of Tirap to avoid indulging with unlawful activities and suggested to give more importance in games and sports in addition to their studies.
