Monitor Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) construction: ALSDSU appeals to Itanagar DC

ITANAGAR: The All Lower Subansiri District Students' Union (ALSDSU) has appealed to the Deputy Commissioner for immediate maintenance as well as constituting a team to monitor the ongoing Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) road construction from Potin to Anya Gate.

The union has sought the DC to respond to the two-point representation within seven days, failing to which it has called for a further course of action.

ALSDSU said that the portion of Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) of package-I from Potin to Anya gate is in most deplorable condition, making the commuters face hardship. It also said that the speed of construction is slow and there are no sufficient machines, with less manpower.

The union further alleged that the executing agency is incapable of executing the work and the work quality has been compromised.

Therefore, the union appealed to the DC to constitute a special monitoring team composed of administrative officers, engineers from all works departments and members from recognized social organizations from the district.
