ITANAGAR, July 6: Refuting the allegation leveled by Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee’s (APCC) assessment committee for his alleged misappropriation in the Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) compensation issue, Parliamentary Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, Tamar Murtem on Friday asked APCC to withdraw the statement or face defamation case within a week.

In matters related to the TAH compensation from Potin – Bopi in Lower Subansiri and Kamle district, Murtem claimed that he had no involvement and that there is no truth in the matter while his name is being unnecessarily dragged in by the APCC. “Allegation against me is baseless. My name or family member’s name are nowhere seen or enlisted in the list of beneficiaries of TAH from Potin – Bopi,” said Murtem. While challenging statement of APCC against him for his alleged involvement, Murtem further welcome the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to be inducted for fair investigation.
