National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) GM assures repair of Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH)

ITANAGAR: Leaders of different organizations on Wednesday met National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) General Manager Col Prabhakar Kumar in Itanagar and submitted representation for the immediate repairing and maintenance of the Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) from Talo-Yapak Geko.

The meeting lasted around an hour and a solution to the immediate problem has been resolved after assurance from the officers of the NHIDCL.

NHIDCL General Manager Col Kumar assured to start the repairing and maintenance works of said stretch of road from 20KM to 50KM Talo-Yakha camp to Yapap Gyeko for which the tender works is nearing completion and work would be started within next two week while seek support and cooperation from the people especially from local public.

He also informed that there are around 60-70 project with thousands of kilometer of road construction which is under the NHIDCL. Of which the company have started the construction work and few are under very good condition.

He said that he has approached the concerned officials of state government and have appealed to create mass awareness in all such area so that the land acquisition issues are immediate shorted out.

Officers of the NHIDCL Heri Maring informed that the Joram-Koloriang road is one of the oldest roads which is the lifeline of lower Subansiri, Kra Daadi and Kurung Kumey districts and is also a very busy and important road from the defense strategic point of view for which the TAH acquires top priority in terms of maintenances.
