National Sports Day observed at Jonai (Assam) Higher Secondary School

PASIGHAT: To commemorate the National Sports Day, Spearhead Sappers, Rayang Military Station organized Sports Day for budding sports talent at Jonai (Assam) Higher Secondary School.

Led by Maj Pankaj Gupta, a three-day event was organized at the school which included training in sports like basketball and volleyball. Lt Col Aditi informed that the third day's programme concluded on August 27 with inter-house track and field events like 100-metre race, relay-race and shot put.

The students of the school participated with great fervour and showcased their athletic skill with an unimpeachable finesse. "The Army will organize more events in future to keep the youths engaged in sports and other activities to channelize their energy positively," said Lt Col Aditi.
