National Voters’ Day observed in Arunachal

TEZU: National Voters Day was celebrated at Indira Gandhi Government College Tezu on Friday today in a befitting manner.

The programme was organized by the District Election Office, Tezu and was attended by DEO, Tezu, Karma Leki, ERO, Tezu, Pricilla Tayeng, AERO, Tezu, Pime Keche, and Principal, IGGC Tezu, K Megu along with all the administrative officers, HoDs, college faculties, BLOs, students of IGGC and school students.

Speaking on the occasion DEO Tezu, Karma Leki emphasized on the importance of National Voters Day and exhorted all those present to exercise their right of adult franchise wisely without adhering to pressure or inducements.

He informed about the establishment of District Contact Centre (DCC) at DEO’s office Tezu and asked them to avail the facility by dialling the toll free number (1950) for redressal of any grievances or queries related to electoral matters.

He also described the various mechanism of electoral process like use of VVPAT/ EVM, Electoral Literacy Club, Chunav Pathsala, Voters Awareness Forum and SVEEP.
