ITANAGAR: The Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) at Anini in Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh has successfully organized a district-level Yuva Utsav at Roing government higher secondary school for non-NYK districts on Sunday. The Utsav aimed to rekindle the spirit of patriotism and the values of India’s freedom struggle by engaging the youth in various competitive events. The event, a part of the Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, also aimed to disseminate the message of ‘Panch Pran’, introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking on the occasion, Roing additional deputy commissioner Srinivas Sadi encouraged the youth to be actively involved in the nation-building process through community participation, as youth are the future of our nation. He emphasised the significance of sincere contributions towards realising the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in making our country a 'Vishwaguru' (a global leader). Sadi also highlighted the importance of embracing the ‘Panch Pran’ outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to achieve the vision of India@2047 in the "Amrit Kaal". More than 250 youth associated with NYKS, NYV volunteers, students and staff of Roing government higher secondary school, VKV Roing, JNV Roing, and others participated in the event. NYK Anini district youth officer Mahit Rabha said the Utsav provided an excellent platform for the youth to showcase their talents and engage in various activities that promote leadership, social responsibility, and teamwork.
The event included contests for young artists, writers, photographers, practitioners of traditional art forms, and folk and traditional dances, he said. He said, ‘Yuva Shakti Se Jan Bhagidari’ was the driving force behind the grand success of the event. Rabha disclosed that various government departments actively participated in the event, displaying their achievements through stalls, posters, and IECs. Expressing gratitude to guests, participants and supporters for the success of the Yuva Utsav, he said the organisation remains committed to nurturing the potential of the youth and empowering them to become responsible citizens.
