NERIST demonstrates ergonomically developed ladder at Remi village under Dambuk

ITANAGAR: With the aim to popularize the women friendly ergonomically developed horticultural fruit harvesting ladder, the Agricultural Engineering department of North East Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra of Lower Dibang valley district organized 'Demonstration programme on ergonomically developed ladder' at Remi village under Dambuk on Thursday.

Around 15 persons participated in the demonstration which was being sponsored by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) through AICRP on ESA, NERIST centre.

The demonstration was conducted in the orange farm of a prWith the aim to popularize the women friendly ergonomically developed horticultural fruit harvesting ladder, the Agricultural Engineering department of North East Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra of Lower Dibang valley district organized 'Demonstration programmgressive farmer Nanokong Modi by Technical Associate K Sora and Techinician R Phukan.

The farmers appreciated the women friendly developed ladder which will increases the plucking rate and reduces the fruit damage and accidents. EOM
