Ninong Ering moves Nitin Gadkari for Arunachal road project

GUWAHATI: Member of Parliament Ninong Ering on Tuesday met Union Minister of Road, Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari regarding construction of a road from Pasighat in East Siang District to Dari (West Siang) via Koyu in Lower Siang Districts discussed during Question Hour in the Lok Sabha earlier in the day.

He thanked the Union Minister for giving him a special assurance for the construction of road so that the people of the eastern part of Arunachal will be allowed to travel even during bandh periods of Assam. As an existing road is there till Koyu, the construction of the Pasighat-Ledum-Dari road will be a boon not only to the people of East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh but all the districts in the eastern part of Arunachal Pradesh. The project estimated to cost Rs 400 crores is expected to be taken up in the next financial year, stated a release.
