ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh consecutively did not report any fresh COVID-19 case in the past three days, a senior health official said here on Monday.

The caseload remained in the State at 16,836 while the number of recoveries as of now stands at 16, 775, said State Surveillance Officer Dr Lobsang Jampa.

Currently, there are five active COVID-19 cases, while 56 people have succumbed to the infection so far. The recovery rate has touched 99.63 per cent, while the positivity ratio stands at 0.02 per cent and the fatality rate at 0.33 per cent. Namsai district has the highest number of active cases at four. Altogether, 4,03,485 samples have been tested for The COVID-19, including 196 on Sunday.

Meanwhile, State Immunization Officer (SIO) Dimong Padung informed that 18,697 Health and frontline workers have received vaccine shots so far in the State.

The Health department has been carrying out the inoculation drive four days a week — Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
